5 Minute Friday - Tender

They need tender.

All of them.

Lando and HanSolo - their starts were so dreadful.  8 years of people being seriously cruel and ugly.  But when you turn on the tender, they turn right around, faces alight, hearts calm and ready to receive love.

Rose - she's in the process of being tempered, striking the balance between her adult sense of humour and being only 13.  She's one tough cookie and can take it as well as dish it.  It's often hard to jerk that chain, but when you get tender, she melts right in, accepts it, understands it.

Daisy - experiencing a tough season, learning a little more that life is not what she thought.  But she's working through and healing, and does so faster when surrounded by tenderness.

Then there's Mr Perfect - lining us up to take a chance, but able to do so because we're all right behind him.  Tender with responses and encouragement when it's needed.

And what tenderness didn't heal me when most needed?

What is this medicine that we all-too-often overlook?

How many different things could be cured with a dose of 'tender'?

Got 5 Minutes?

  1. Oh, so true. Such beautiful words in such short time. I love your thoughts here. You're so right, tender is such medicine. And there isn't much that can't be helped with a good dose of just some good old tender.

  4. I've missed you! I lost your blog when you changed the name and have been looking for you since then. While checking old posts on my blog I found your comment and was linked here. So happy to have found you and your sweet family again.

So glad you included yourself among those who need and benefit from gentleness/tenderness. Thanks!
