The Last 10 Days . . .

I finished and shipped a wall hanging for my niece's 2nd birthday . . .

We tried something new for family night last Tuesday.  We divided into three teams, and then each team took a course to prepare.  Mr Perfect and Lando drew the main course out of the hat.  Now, for those of you who don't know, Mr Perfect's favorite thing would NOT be cooking, let alone a main course.  But he did quite well and impressed us all with his chicken smothering in caramelized onions.  It was delish!

For those of you who were distressed over the curtain tie-back system we had in place upon arrive to the condo, I thought I'd relive you.  The 5 gallon paint bucket is now empty and gone and we've only got a single gallon can left.  It doesn't do the job nearly as well as it's 5 gallon big brother did, so I was finally forced to manage the situation.  Try to maintain your countenance, please.  ;)

We've had a few days where it hasn't even reach 75 degrees, which means we're in slippers in the morning, long pajamas at night, and drinking pots of tea in the afternoon. If you're a dog, you're soaking up the morning sun.

As a delayed night of celebration for Rose's 13th birthday, the family went to see The Three Musketeers and then went out to dinner.  A few nights ago we had soup for dinner and a few children were unable to finish.  So, they covered and marked their bowls and they went into the fridge for lunch the next day.  This is HanSolo's bowl.

For those of you who don't read 11 year old ESL spelling, it says, "d'Artagnan".
Think he liked the movie?

  2. LOVED all of these. A beautiful glimpse into your world. So happy you are experiencing cooler temps this year. I thought last year I may just have to come down there and hose you off.

    Be Blessed, Sister!
