Discipleship Deliberation

The week in general ~ Daisy doing a great job of catching up after her Tahoe trip, Rose working the plan, and Lando and HanSolo FINALLY getting a grip!

In our studies this week ~ the boys started Math U See Delta on Monday and have already moved through 5 full lessons.  I'm just going to let them go until they need to slow down.

What needs some tweaking ~ The boys are doing well with writing ramped back up.  I think I'm going to leave it as is until the next quarter and then bring science back in - as long as they're continuing to NOT need 12 hours a day for studies.

My own discipleship ~ Mr Perfect and I were talking and have decided to read Back to Basics: Rediscovering the Richness of the Reformed Faith together and discuss it each week starting next week.  Time to get reading!

The best thing about the week ~ The girls have been enjoying cat sitting for a neighbor, which allows them a few hours a day over there.  They also decided to deep clean their room yesterday which had lovely impact on the landing and Chaos.  I can get in there now!  :)  (Haven't been since our house guests arrived.)  Boys had a MUCH better week, yeah!

Questions, comments, thoughts ~ I was reviewing the week's work with the girls today and noticed that there are only three. more. weeks. left of this quarter.  Where in the world did this quarter go???  Have you seen it?  If found, please call . . .

Something to share ~ The boys have finished their curricula-assigned reading for history and literature but have a few weeks to go.  So - I pulled out the 1000 Great Books list and decided to have the children work on that as they finish up more 'formal' reading.  No, not reading everything on it, just selecting things that would be beneficial.

Do you have the list?  If not, you can get it here.
