Discipleship Deliberation

The week in general ~ Our second week of our 3rd quarter is moving along and we're getting a grip.  Yeah!  I LOVE having a grip!

In our studies this week ~ Daisy is cleaned up and reorganized (she needed some counsel there) and she's on her way to a good quarter.  Rose is up and running well.  Introduced the boys to writing via IEW and it's WORKING!

What needs some tweaking ~ The 'lets not buckle down but rather study every single day of the week because I'm not being diligent' issue in one of the boys.

My own discipleship ~ Prov 27:23-27  Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.  For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?  the hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.  The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.  And thou shalt have goats' mile enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.

Move us in that direction, Lord!

The best thing about the week ~ The boys' success with the IEW writing.  Source text, key word outline, rough, final draft.  No dress-ups yet.  We'll keep it simple for a few weeks so they really see their own mastery and success.

Questions, comments, thoughts ~ I'm wiped, so nothing really.  By 10:30am I did two loads of laundry, showered, dressed, made a double batch of cereal, made 2.5 pans of enchiladas beginning to end, pulled the kitchen together, and now you'll find me happily installed on the futon for the remainder of the day.

Something to share ~ Daisy's quartet from chamber music camp.  She's on the far right.
