The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside My Window
Texas Sage that needs trimming.
Clear skies setting up for 80 degrees.

I am Thinking
That APS really stinks.  We get a car payment, two that are ready for braces in January AND a rate hike?  Merry Christmas to you too!

I am Thankful For
Safe and productive trips.  Mr Perfect and the boys are home safe from the FL trip with a new (to us) van.  Whew!

I am Creating
Christmas gifts for my niece.  Shh!

I am Praying
For the Lord's perfect provision.
For a Lounge Sister who's 22 month old died on Sunday.

I am Hearing
Pages turning.  It's the reading hour and the boys are happily installed in the rocking chair and love seat.  I'm so thankful for eager readers!

From the Kitchen
Chicken Enchilada Soup
Crusty Rolls

Around the House
The calm and joy of getting back to normal.

We are Learning
Just how fabulous our dentist is.

A Few of My Favorite Things
Mr. Perfect. HOME.

Plans for the Week
Various mechanic trips, appointments, hair cuts, lessons, an appointment with the Glaucoma Specialist.  Fun, fun, fun!

On my Mind
As we continue to study biblical holy days vs secular and/or pagan based holidays, I have to wonder - why do people who don't believe in God celebrate Christmas?  Is it really, 'because that's what we've always done'?

A Peek at My Life

  1. That's funny. I read "Better Off" about 4 years ago or so, during our first year here. You'll have to let me know what you think of it when you're done. I'd be curious to find out what you think of his conclusions.
