The Simple Woman's Daybook

Posting a day early, as I have to be out of here at 6:15 tomorrow morning!

Outside My Window
petunias coming back.

I am Thinking
my family is pretty fabulous.

I am Thankful For
Early diagnosis, fast scheduled surgery, and Mr Perfect's ability to work from home tomorrow.

I am Wearing
no make up.
(I know - scary!)

I am Creating
calm in my heart.  While I'm not panicked about tomorrow's surgery, it is taking some work to remain even keeled.

I am Reading

I am Praying
for textbook easy surgery on my eye tomorrow and that I can have the self control necessary.

I am Hearing
Mr Perfect's training video he has to listen to.
ZZZzzz . . .

From the Kitchen
Pineapple and brie pizza w/cilantro sauce.

Around the House
Mr Perfect across the table working.
Children studying.

A Few of My Favorite Things
My husband who makes me see the optometrist.
The optometrist who makes me see the glaucoma specialist.
The specialist who diagnoses me with the worst kind of glaucoma possible, but catches it early enough to permanently treat it.

Plans for the Week
Daisy to her dad's for the week this afternoon, surgery tomorrow morning, World Tour Wednesday, Sabbath, that's about it!

A Peek at my Life

No photos, but check this out if you're curious about LPI surgery for Glaucoma.  No blood, no guts, no needles, and about 90 seconds long.

  1. In my excitement to "share" with you guys I momentarily forgot about your surgery tomorrow! I am praying for you and I hope a quiet evening at home is a good thing for you and doesn't add to the anxiousness. In other words. . .I hope I didn't send Mr. Perfect in the wrong direction tonight!

  2. I'm glad Mr Perfect if perfect....and that your eyes will be getting repaired. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and send you my BEST and WARMEST hugs.

  3. Praying for you and the surgery today.

Please . . . Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Eph 4:29
