Last year, Mr Perfect got a perfect 4.0 on his annual review. (I don't call him, "Mr Perfect" for nothing!) These are nearly impossible to achieve at his place of employment, and the likelihood of it happening again are slim, even for Mr Perfect. However, since raises and bonuses were frozen last year, he was told that this review would count for nothing, financially speaking. (The review score dictates the amount of the salary increase.)
Fast forward to this year, this morning, to be specific. You know - less than 48 from giving his resignation from a side job, whose income we were concerned about losing, in order for him to have time to be home with his family . . .
He checked his work email before setting off for the day and was informed that the raises that will take effect July 1 would be dictated . . . by . . . LAST . . . YEAR'S . . . REVIEW.
I am thankful, indeed!
